Art and Print Media Studio Manager - Cornell University, Ithaca, NY

2017- present- Manage all printmaking and papermaking spaces, including intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, relief, monotype, photopolymer, letterpress, sculptural and two-dimensional papermaking techniques. Responsibilities include training classes and independent students in all Print Media studios, assisting studio art classes, working closely with faculty and staff to meet student and studio needs, managing department budget, facilitating safety training for all students and studio users. Recruit, screen and hire 35-40 student workers to monitor print media, painting and drawing, sculpture and annex studios, act as studio safety manager for a total of seven studios. Monitor chemical storage, work with faculty to maintain inventory, coordinate space cleanouts as needed and ensure that users adhere to protocols and requirements. Manage the AAP Supply Store, budget and record all revenues and expenses in line with the University’s policies and best practices. Assist and train art students in digital fabrication lab.
